Self care – The Lover Powertype.
Quite often we forget to put ourselves first and we wonder why we are tired, burning out and feeling like we have lost our sparkle. A very simple activity to give yourself a little love is to spend a bit of time loving your body with some beautiful smelling and gorgeous feeling natural skincare products. 5 minutes just for you, on your own at the beginning and the end of the day just for you can be transformative.
I am an independent ambassador for Tropic Skincare. I love their products and when I burned out this is where I started. I did a 5 minute skincare routine everyday – it made me feel so loved that its now a daily habit and if I miss it I don’t feel quite so great.
Tropic Skincare harnesses the power of the natural world. Using a plethora of natural, nutrient-rich ingredients – all brimming with vitamins, antioxidants and essential oils – our products feed your body with goodness, improving skin health and overall wellbeing.
Sustainably sourcing our vibrant botanicals from tropical regions and freshly crafting our formulations daily in our Surrey HQ, we blend natural inspiration with cutting-edge science to create clinically tested recipes that deliver real, visible results.

Creativity
Creativity is something I believe we are all born with but can lose as we grow and life becomes more serious. When we are little we were all creative in what we made, played, explored and tried. We encourage our children to do the same but as we get older this seems to be less encouraged and we start to become more fearful of giving it a go.
Maybe you were told you weren’t creative or good at art when we were at school. Or you were encouraged to get a ‘Proper job’ rather than follow your creative path.
I went to University to do a photography degree and it is here where I felt my creativity was squashed. I had to conform to tick the academic boxes and it made me forget why I loved creating.
Then life got busy and serious as I got a job, bought a house, had children, became a special guardian. I was creative for my children but not really for me. Over the last couple of years I have been having creative fun again and I love it. I’m trying new courses, testing out new medium, making a mess and just seeing what happens. The more fun I have the more ideas I get. Not just for what I can do with art but within my life and work – its amazing.
Go on give being creative a go – What does creativity look like for you? Cooking, gardening, woodwork, writing? Whatever feels right I would urge you to just try a few things and see what makes you feel joy and excitement when you do it. When time seems to just disappear and you are at one with whatever you are doing. Its a magical, inspiring place to be. It’s the doing that counts! If you don’t try you will never see what possibilities are out there!
